Many more wonderful pictures of the Dyker Heights lights can be found over on one of my favorite blogs, We Heart New York.
Some of the other advent calendar gifts in the past few days included a donation to one of our favorite charities, Furever Dachshund Rescue, and tickets to see the American Ballet Theatre's Nutcracker (my favorite rendition of it yet) at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. And with that, I'm wrapping up my Christmas-themed posts (I don't know about you, but I am exhausted by the subject).
Have a safe and happy holiday - I'll be back early next week.

Ooooh, you really are the Grinch :)))))! Love those beautiful houses and lights! Merry Xmas to you both!
Hey, thanks for the shout out! We were (once again) there at the same time you were. At one point, we heard a woman say, "This is like Christmas vomit" -- maybe that was you?
Hope you guys are having a great holiday season.
Jess and Garrett, if only I could take credit for saying that! How funny. Alas, it was not me, but it sounds like something i would have said.
It is amazing how often we nearly cross paths - like two ships passing in the night!
Aaaah! This brings back so many memories. I grew up in Dyker and remember every Christmas season, driving with my parents to see the "rich houses". It's such an amazing display and these photos really struck something in me. I miss this! I need to make a promise to myself to see them for Christmas 2012!
